It took me a while to work on this next blog because of work, but mostly because there were other things I wanted and needed to do.
My apologies for the delay, folks.

Unfortunately, the Marvel Facebook page still hasn’t announced a winner for their Marvel 80th anniversary celebration though it’s been two months since the contest ended and they said they would contact the winner. Maybe they don’t plan to announce the winner, but I don’t think that’s a good strategy.
There are some disappointed fans making comments and calling the contest a scam on the page. I feel bad as well, especially after I spent a whole week making sure I did something unique and special for the celebration and to win the contest.
Regardless of Marvel’s lack of transparency, I still had fun celebrating that week!
Here’s how the last four days of my weeklong celebration went:
Day 4: Fanfiction Iron Fist Story 1
I started working on a fanfiction project to add more flavor to Iron Fist’s story. It’s a plot for a new Iron Fist series that I hope Marvel will pick up because it will clear up some issues and resolve hanging plotlines over the past four decades.
This one is deeply rooted in past events that build upon one another. What’s it all about? I can’t tell anyone just yet, but the page below is a clue.

A few months ago, Jonathan Hickman’s groundbreaking House of X/Powers of X story showed us “the most important scene in X-Men history.”
In my fanfiction plot, the page above from Iron Fist #6 (1975) by Chris Claremont and John Byrne will be one of the most important and influential pages in the Living Weapon’s history. It shows the mindmeld that Danny performed on Colleen Wing to break her free from the brainwashing done to her by Angar the Screamer.
Day 5: Fanfiction Iron Fist Story 2
Day 5 is a continuation of my fanfiction project, but while the other day’s story focuses on a past event in Danny’s life, this one will thrust Iron Fist’s mythology forward to an exciting future.
The plot for this will be the next arc of the new Iron Fist series that builds on the Immortal Iron Fist series by Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction, David Aja, and Matt Hollingsworth.
As with the earlier plot, I can’t tell you yet what it’s about, but the clue is in the scene below.

The page is from The Immortal Iron Fist #6 (2007). Though not as influential as the plot from yesterday, I’m hoping this arc generates more excitement for Iron Fist than ever.
I actually have a third story in mind, one that will give Danny a satisfying closure after the horrifying deaths of his parents, and his sister.
Day 6: Creating Marvel 80 Bookmarks
I printed out Iron Fist, X-Men, Alpha Flight, Spider-Man, Daredevil and Civil War/Avengers bookmarks for a giveaway to Marvel fans at my local comic shop. Hope you like them!

Day 7: R and R
Just as God rested on the seventh day of creation week, Day 7 of my Marvel 80th Anniversary celebration is rest day! Similar to the post-credits scene of the first Avengers film, I relaxed at the end of the weeklong celebration with a shawarma dinner! Haha!

I wrapped my delicious shawarma in the Iron Fist, Spider-Man, X-Men and Avengers / Civil War Marvel 80th designs I made the day before, in keeping with the celebration.
Hope you enjoyed keeping up with me as I celebrated Marvel’s milestone year! ‘Til next time! Make Mine Marvel and LIKE UNTO A THING OF IRON!👊
